Photoshop trick

July 28th, 2006

Learnt how to do the photoshop trick online. But if you ask me again how I did it, I’d have no clue whatsoever. Will have to check the online notes again. *blush* Anyways, can’t wait for our first vacation together (just the three of us - sing it to the tune of Will Smith’s “Just the two of us”) tomorrow. So excited!!!! I hope it doesn’t rain in PD. Otherwise, wasted man! Looking forward to throwing lil’ mister into the pool (with strict supervision of course!). Just that I’m not sure if I can fit into my old swimming suit. Sigh. Oh well, have a good weekend ahead, people!! =)
p/s: Aaron & Emily: Can’t wait for you guys to come back next month. Very excited to introduce Irfan to Naomi. I hope she’s ok with strangers, ey? ;)

Family

July 27th, 2006

This is the three of us. Like duh?!!?! Ha-ha! Picture of hubby was taken during our trip to Bali (when I was 6 months pregnant), picture of lil’ Irfan was during Uncle Icky & Aunt Nana’s wedding and the whacko picture of myself was taken during my uni years, which was like eons ago! =P (Pap, I hope by now you know what “=” + “P” and “=” + “)” mean, ey? Hehe).
Anyways, below here is a shot taken during lil’ Irfan’s short nap at Mandarin Oriental. =) I just love the quotes I found online. And Irwan has been nothing but a supportive and understanding husband so far.
Updates on lil’ Irfan:
a) he loves putting things in his mouth
b) he wants to be held vertically ALL the time
c) he gulps down 6-7 ounces of milk in under 15 minutes when he’s really hungry
d) he sleeps through the night sometimes (he slept from 10 p.m - 7.30 a.m today)
e) he likes to “talk” to us and expects us to reply him, otherwise he’ll get upset
f) he can focus on things better now (his favourite is still the moving ceiling fan & his mobile toys)
g) he has a very hard grip & would tug my hair whenever I hold him
h) he’ll be going for his first vacation trip this weekend to PD

Last Sunday, we had our brunch at Pacifica together with my brothers, my mom and my mom’s friend. They had a jazz band playing and they were good. The food was absolutely delicious (forgot to take the pictures pulak! daymn!!!) Anyways, lil’ Irfan was enjoying the attention from everyone there. Ha-ha! He refused to sleep and seemed to enjoy the band playing. Although both hotel and restaurant weren’t baby friendly (as in no passage way for strollers), the waiters and hotel employees were there to help us carry the stroller over the stairs. (For the price we pay, they might as well! =P)
Aaaannyyyyways, back to the food (I’m hungry just thinking about them!!!), they had so many variety of food and we literally stuffed ourselves! Irwan enjoyed his sushi and all the raw salmon(nyeh!) he could get. I, on the other hand was enjoying their tenderloin steak and grilled king prawns! (I think I had two servings of the steak and 3 servings of the prawns!). They also had some delicious dessert and a chocolate fountain, which Irwan enjoyed.. haha! (he was coating the marshmallows and strawberries with the chocolate) Chardonnay was free flowing (but unfortunately we don’t drink.. hehe!) and my mom’s friend was saying that by having 3 glasses of the wine, you’ve already gotten your money’s worth. ;) (which is what she did!)
After pigging out for almost 2 and 1/2 hours, I felt like an oink-oink (pun intended!) and we all went to KLCC to do some retail theraphy (more like my mom and my brotherslah). Irfan was happy going around and looking at all the lights and people and smiling and coo-ing away to strangers. Everyone would stop and look at him and smile at him. (I hope I won’t have “girl” problems later when he’s older.. =P) But anyways, I got him something from Mothercare, since they are having sale and I could get an extra 10% by using the invitation card they sent me.. so I got a 40% discount on the hooded sweater, which was cool lah because the price at Mothercare can be quite ridiculous at times!
ps: will post more pictures of Irfan later. busy busy busy!

Partners & Friends

Quote means “Love is not about looking at each other, it is about looking in the same direction.” I totally agree with that! ;)

Our bundle of joy

July 21st, 2006

Love the poem and of course, love the kiddo too! Haha. Can’t blog much because am pretty swarmed with work (but always find the time to digital scrap! :P). But just for updates, little bundle of joy is weighing about 7.2 kg now (he’s approximately 3 months and 18 days old - more or less), he can’t wear some of his 3-6 months clothes (some canlah, but a bit snug) and now we hafta make him wear his 6-9 months clothes. Yikes! Time to go shopping again! (I can just see hubby shaking his head and slapping his forehead… muahahaha!)

Got the idea from Scrapcat. Very cool! =)

Wedding weekend

July 19th, 2006

15th July 2006 - a very memorable day for Uncle Ike & Aunt Nana. =) For Baby Irfan on the other hand, it was a very tiring day as there were many people who wanted to see him, hold him, feed him, etc etc. Lil’ Irfan was overwhelmed by the attentions given to him that during the akad nikah ceremony, he was asleep throughout the whole thing (which lasted almost 2 1/2 hours - including lunch). When we got home, there was to be another ceremony - tea ceremony - and Irfan was yet asleep the entire time! Talk about being a good boy. Hehe. Of course, there were moments where he stirred from his sleep and all, but it was just for a bit. The routine basically was sleep for 5 hours, woke up for milk (5 ounces), sleep for another 5 hours or so, woke up for milk again (5 ounces) and it went on and on. I was glad he was sleeping and resting as I had to run around and get things done for the newlyweds in the spanking brand-new (not so newlah - 1 year old) BMW 7 series Irwan got from his company (to use for the wedding).
The baju melayu was made by Irwan’s colleague’s wife but sayang, the pants are a wee bit tight already. I guess he IS growing fast! Ha-ha! Anyways, Irfan was asleep while we were at the hotel preparing for the BIG night and he was also asleep during the bersanding ceremony. Although he was being passed on from one hand to another, he did not fret, but just continued on with his sleep. His last milk was around 6.30 p.m. and guess what time he woke up for the next milk? 4.45 a.m.!!!!!!! I think this is the longest marathon he has ever done. Poor baby. Must’ve been very tired from all that has happened. Nevertheless, we are all very happy for both Mr & Mrs Ikhwan! ;)
Picture of the handsome groom and beautiful bride was taken during the “bersanding” ceremony at Concorde Shah Alam on Sunday, July 16th 2006. They nikah was held the day before at Nana’s house. Everything ran smoothly and I’m glad we were all there to witness the special day! Congratulations again and semoga sampai ke anak, cucu and cicit! =) Love always, Irwan, Nadia & Baby Irfan.

My toys

July 14th, 2006

Here are some of the many toys that were given to Irfan from relatives, friends and Irwan’s colleagues. Tigger was given by Mr & Mrs Kok (good friends of ours). They also bought one for their daughter, Naomi (who was born 9 days after Irfan was born). The bunny was from Dr. Ulla (Irwan’s ex-boss at BMW) who bought it all the way from Germany. I think it has a name tag on it, but can’t recall the name now. Panda was given to Irfan by my parents, which they bought when they went to China & Tibet 2 months ago.
The box like thing from (Aunt) Hana is really cool and it’ll be good for Irfan to develop his hearing skills. (Uncle) Faisal bought the star with bells in it and each time Irfan moves around his cot, he’ll somehow hit the star and it’ll be quite bisinglah! Hehe. (Aunt) Gee got the small pillow (with a ribbon tied around it so that we are able to tie the pillow on his cot) from Perth. It’s really cute and lovely! It’s got “Shhhhh… Baby is sleeping” written on it.
Irfan also has the mobile musical thingie that mother in-law bought for him and he absolutely loves it whenever we play it for him. He loves to watch it go round and the music soothes him too. He’ll coo and giggle and laugh most of the time and you can see that his eyes are fixed on the figures that are moving. =)
Next would be to post the pictures of the many shoes he has.. (I think he has about 6-7 pairs! But thank god their of different sizes =P)

You are my I love you

July 12th, 2006

A poem by Maryann K. Cusimano with the title you are my I love you. If it’s hard to read what is written, the poem goes something like this:
I am your parent, you are my child.
I am your quiet place, you are my wild.
I am your calm face, you are my giggle.
I am your wait, you are my wiggle.
I am your finish line, you are my race.
I am your praying hands, you are my grace.
I am your lullaby, you are my peekaboo.
I am your good-night kiss, you are my I LOVE YOU!
