Mr Grumpy & Uncle Ike

September 29th, 2006

I don’t have that many photos of Irfan being unhappy and grumpy. So, when I stumbled upon this photo, I thought that I should scrap it. =) We were at Chilli’s OU having lunch and I don’t know, somehow he was just not interested in smiling. I think he’s tired of smiling for the camera already. Ha-ha!

My brother in-law offered to take care of lil’ Irfan while we were breaking fast because he didn’t want to be in his stroller anymore. I guess he was upset that we interrupted his sleep. You see, he was nicely in my arms sleeping while on the way from Bangsar to Centrepoint. The moment it was time to break fast, I put him in his stroller and guess what? He opened his 100 watts eyes! Sheeeeeeessshhhh!

More videos..

September 29th, 2006

I found a software to rotate Irfan’s swimming video, but wasn’t able to upload it anywhere, not youtube, not google video and not photobucket either (they all seem to say that there’s an error in the video-that’s probably because of the rotating)! So, I gave up and just uploaded the original video online. I guess you’re going to have to tilt your head a little bit to see the lil’ fella having a go in the pool! =)

Happy Birthday Aunt Amy!

September 27th, 2006

Happy Birthday Amez! I don’t know what is it that you’ll do in sheepland to celebrate this special day of yours, but whatever it is that you do, I hope that you’ll have loads of fun! I’m sorry that we won’t be able to fly to Auckland to be with you, but I certainly hope that you know that you’re always in our (yan and I) hearts. =) I’m not going to get all mushy in Irfan’s blog (he’ll probably say “eeewwww Mom, you’re gross!”) when he’s able to read, so yah, can’t wait for you to come back in December. Anyway, I’m not sure if you’re able to read what I wrote on your card up there, so, if you aren’t able to, let me know, yah?

Alie came out with that joint nick, which I think is kinda cute because he IS always wriggly and droolie! Hahaha!! MIL checked his gums the other day and she said that she could feel his teeth coming out, so I guess that’s what the drooling is all about. I hope it stops soon! ;)

I haven’t had the time to take Irfan’s photos these past few weeks, so I had to make do with his old photos to scrap. He’s growing so much and I hate to miss snapping shots of him. Nyeh! Gotta stop watching too many episodes of Prison Break (Wentworth Miller is hot! =P) and start snapping more of Irfan’s photos. For those who have not watched Prison Break, it’s an awesome show, even better than 24! And for those who don’t know what 24 is, go and check it out! =)

Lil’ mr. traveller..

September 22nd, 2006

Lil’ Irfan is our little mr. traveller these days as he goes to MIL’s house in the morning (sent by Irwan) and back to my parents’ house in the evening. The jam is just mad mad mad I tell you! It took me almost an hour from SS3, Kelana Jaya to Bangsar yesterday! Geez!! And the worst part was, lil’ Irfan was sooooo sleepy, but he refused to sleep and was just babbling on and on to me about god-knows-what and when we were almost home, he zonked off! It broke my heart to have him removed from his car seat (as usually he’d wake up), but I had no choice. Can’t leave him in the car, can I? So, anyway, I thought he’d fall asleep back when I try to put him to sleep, but NOOOOO, he wanted to play with everyone! So, first, he played with my dad while I had dinner and then it was my mom’s turn and when she passed him to me, his eyes were all red and watery but still refused to sleep. Gave him his milk, but only drank half and started to laugh and babble even more. So, I gave up! Put him in his cot and lil’ champion was turning 360 degrees doing acrobatic moves! Haha! I may have to remove some of his toys to give him some space to do his breakdance! =P

I think his teeth are about to come out soon. He just loves to play with his tongue, gums, saliva, lips, anything within that vicinity, u name it, he’ll play it! In a day, he’d soil 6-8 hankies and 4-5 bibs! If he’s doing his tummy exercise, the saliva would drool even more! Don’t ask me why, I still am trying to figure that out..

This one looks like he’s wearing a red indian hat. Haha! But I just love the colours of the kit and the picture is just great! Great shot in fact. Thanks again, Aaron! =) Ok, now I have to go back to MAS’ website to see if there are any seats to Perth on the particular date that we initially wanted. Haiya, damn mafan! With the demand, MAS should either charter an extra plane or open up more seats for the MATTA fare rates. Something is definitely better than nothing, right? Can’t be bothered to pay more than RM 2,000 for a ticket to Perth! Crazy!!

Rolling rolling rolling!

September 20th, 2006

Now you see him, now you dont! Sounds familiar? Haha! Anyways, this little fella of ours is moving so fast nowadays that I’m afraid to leave him out of my sight even for a bit! This morning, as I was getting ready for work, Irwan went downstairs to fix the car seat into his car as his mom will be taking care of lil’ Irfan the next few weeks she’s in town. So, after giving Irfan his bath (since he sleeps around 7-8 pm these days, he tends to wake up at 5 or 6 in the morning and expects us to play with him! most of the time, we just leave him be and when we wake up, he’s asleep.. haha!) I put him in the middle of our bed (king-sized bed.. HUGE, right?) and went on to get ready lah. Not even a minute has passed, and the little fella was already at the EDGE of the bed! I freaked of course! I mean, what’s he trying to do? Give his mom a heart attack???? But get this, since he crawls backwards, the only way for him to move forward is to keep on rolling until he reaches his “destination” or God forbid, falls down. I’ve read a few mommy’s blog and their scary encounters of their kids falling off the bed and I’m hoping that I won’t be a part of the statistics (at least not yet, he’s still SO young!), but I guess accidents do happen, ey? *sigh*

Zara Sofea

September 18th, 2006

Zara Sofea is 4 months older than Irfan and she is the daughter of my uncle (not really an uncle, more like my mom’s cousin) and she’s blossoming into a very beautiful girl. I think she’ll break a lot of hearts when she’s older, so Uncle Bak, you’d better be careful, yah? Hehe. Anyways, the last time I saw her was when they came to visit me at the hospital after giving birth to Irfan. Have to go and visit their new home soon. (I always say soon, but I don’t know when “soon” is because our weekends are always packed with I-have-no-idea what!)

So anyway, before this, we found out that Uncle Bak knows Irwan’s ex-schoolmate, and yesterday, we found out that he knows our racing friends too!! What a small world! Ish!!! Yikes.. need to move out of Malaysia! Ha-ha!!!

I’ve been trying to post Irfan’s swimming video (he was kicking and splashing happily in the pool, very cute!) but after rotating the video 90 degrees using Blaze Media Pro, youtube failed to convert the video, whatever that means! Now I’m very frustrated because I really want to post the video online, but it keeps failing on me. Will give it another shot tomorrow. I hope it’ll work!

For those who are into digital scrapping, check out Jen Caputo’s blog and you can download some free digital sketch at http://jencaputo.typepad.com. And of course, for those who would like to purchase them instead, the sketches are sold at http://www.thedigishoppe.com/shop. Enjoy everyone and have a great weekend! I know mine will be a packed one! (It always is!) Nyeh! =P
note: It’s my dad’s birthday. But he is not IT savvy (none of my parents are! =P), but will make a card for him later. I’ve been so busy at work (and scrapping Irfan’s photos! haha!) So, Happy Birthday Abah! =)

Going mad trying to get flights!

September 14th, 2006

I have been busy trying to arrange flight tickets for everyone to go to Perth this coming Raya. Sigh. Shouldn’t have waited so long to get those darn seats! Now we’re ONLY confirmed to go on the 22nd of October when initially the plan was to leave on the 20th or 21st. And to top that off, we have to transit for a bit at Changi (continued by Qantas to Perth) and only arrive midnight of 23rd October. Haiya.. so much time wasted. Am counting someone would cancel their flights on either MAS, SIA or Qantas for the 20th or 21st. I’d prefer to take MAS since it’s a direct flight, and with Irfan on tow, might be better for us lah. But, what to do.. who asked me to wait so long, right? Sheeeeessshhh.. serves me right! Ha-ha! =P
Anyways, we’re only seeing Irfan’s paed next month, so last night, I took the liberty of weighing him and guess what????!!! He’s already 8.6kg!! No wonder my hands and back hurt like mad whenever I carry him. *wink* And oh, I think he’s teething? I’m not sure myself. Anyone’s kiddo started teething at 5 months?? Lemme know, yah? Thanks!

Irfan’s charming smile

September 13th, 2006

I don’t know if all babies smile a lot, but mine sure does! Ever since he was born, he’d just smile at anyone around him, and THAT usually would melt our hearts. =) So, as I was “googling” online, I found a nice quote by Mother Teresa that says: Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.
We should always smile because there is no point of frowning all the time. Only makes us look older by the day! We are always so uptight with work, stressed out on the road, going mad with all the chores that need to be done, that we sometimes fail to stop and smell the roses and SMILE to those who are around us. So, smile often as it takes seventeen muscles to smile and forty-three to frown. Don’t wanna look old too early, do we?
To my sweet baby Irfan, don’t stop smiling at us. Your morning smile always brightens our day. And no matter how hard we’ve worked and how tired we are when we get home, your beautiful smile puts all the tiredness away. =)
This layout of mine has been chosen as the Layout of the day at The Digi Chick website. Check it out at: http://thesechicks.typepad.com/ Blogging date would be September 07, 2006. Cheers!
