Yes! We had our first sleepover last weekend. It was actually an impromptu decision as I figured since Irwan had to work til 5 a.m. (he came back home past 6.30 a.m.), we might as well just bunk in at our new place. =) Everything was alright, except for some eerie encounters. Haha!
We arrived at Putrajaya almost noon, and I went straight to our room to mop the floors, hang the curtains and fix our bedsheets and what have yous, because I know, once Irwan leaves for his office (meeting scheduled at 2 p.m.), I wouldn’t have that much space to move about since Irfan is still not familiar with the new house and his new room, thus he doesn’t like to be left alone. He forgot all about his cot and doesn’t want to sleep in there either! Sigh.
So anyway, Irwan got us KFC for lunch; I fed Irfan with some whipped potatoes and bread and prepared his milk and put him to sleep, which was about 2.15 p.m. Phew, thank god he wanted to sleep on our bed. Otherwise, pecah kepala!!!! =P I went about cleaning the guest room and taking out more stuff from the boxes and when Irfan woke up, it was almost 5.30 p.m! He fussed for some food and I gave him, bathed him and made his milk and voila, lil’ boy slept again just after the Maghrib azan. Yay! Now, I can do some more worklah. Hehehe..
Suddenly, I heard Irfan’s toy(s) being rattled downstairs. The first time I heard it, I just brushed it off, thinking it was the wind or somethinglah. Then, after a few seconds, bunyi lah pulak again! Adoiiii, I went downstairs and found the culprit (the toy!) at the same place where I left it before I went upstairs with Irfan. Pelik bin ajaib, right? So, I was like ooooo-kkaaaayyy, and then, BAM! It sounded like one of the railings whacking against each other, but when I ran upstairs and checked all the rooms, all the railings were intact, none of them were dangling or anything like that. By then, I was like WTF?!! (I actually said it out loud.. hahaha!) Opened the master bedroom door and peeped in, and Irfan was still sleeping soundly. Went in, read some Al-Quran verses, took my Yasin and placed it under Irfan’s pillow and alhamdulillah, after those incidents, nothing else happened. Until now, I really don’t know what actually happened, but I WILL be reading the Yasin before we move in permanently. And I’ve been looking high and low for nice ayat Kursi to hang on the wall, but semua yang I’ve seen are all so goooolllddddd!!! I know we can get really nice ones abroad (my dad bought one written on papyrus paper from Egypt.. damn nice!), but I’m not travelling anytime soon, so does anyone know where I can find nice-proper looking ones? Without those golden threads and golden frames and golden everything, yah?! Hehehe..
I was on half day leave yesterday, so was playing with Irfan the whole afternoon (the lil’ boss refused to sleep, although mengantuk sangat!) and we also spent some quality time watching three episodes of Desperate Housewives that I’ve downloaded, but have yet to watch. Teeheehee.. I think today we shall watch Grey’s Anatomy pulak. =)
Balancing act.

Mama, dahlah tu! Penatlah Irfan nak pose.. =P

*cheeky*

Somebody, anybody, get me outta here!!!!

Layout of Raelynne.. =)

January 26th, 2007

This is Raelynne, whom the father I befriended online, through all the mutual blogs that we visit. We blog about our kids and visit each other’s blog when we have the chance. Anyway, to learn more about Raelynne, do visit Julian and Morin’s blog. =)
I’m now addicted to scrapping baby girls. Does this mean I’m about to get pregnant again soon? Oh tidaaaakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!! Hahahahaha.. Nolah, not yet. Give it another 2-3 years, and we’ll be ready. Financially & emotionally. ;) Right now we have got too many things going on. I’m afraid if we have our second one soon, we might neglect Irfan and what have yous. Besides, I’m still waiting for my good friends to have theirs first, so that Irfan can have some friends! Nevermind that they would all be scattered all over the world. Nyeh! You 3 know who you are. So, cepat already!!!!! =P

Irfan jadi hero in the morning.. hehe.

Look mummy! No hands!! (He’s standing on his own.)

Another milestone… =)

January 25th, 2007

Yesterday I got home quite early and Irfan’s voice could be heard from the gate, as he was impatient, since my mother in-law was “slow” giving him his porridge. Of course she had to be slow, the porridge was hot, but noooooo, this impatient son of mine wouldn’t take slow for an answer! Hrmppphhhh.. I think ikut perangai the mother. Hahahaha! =P
So yeah, I took over and fed him and after his dinner, we played and I bundled him up in his comforter (just like when he was a few days old - melayu panggil bedung) and surprisingly, he didn’t cry or scream in anger! After a while, both of us got bored and I was looking around for his other toys when he suddenly pushed himself and stood up on his own! No chairs, no legs to hold onto, no walker, no nothing! He was sitting down and just pushed himself up and stood! Yiiippeeeee!!! But errr, I think soon I’ll be peninglah, since he’ll be running around and all. Scheisse!

Here is another layout I did for Rachel. I had to “pinjam” Rachel as I had to create some girly-girl layouts and isn’t she just oh-so-sweet? According to her mommy, she was actually very taken by the beautiful bride at the wedding they were at, hence the serious look. Hehe. Check out those cheeks, man! Don’t you just wanna pinch them??? =P

Hey there!!! =)

Selamat pagi semua… =)

Mmmmmmmaaaaa-mmmmmmaaaaa

January 24th, 2007

Yup yup! Irfan has started saying mmmmmaaaa mmmmmaaaa or mamamamamama or something along that linelah.. hahah! *smiling in glee* We’ve tried coaching him to say papa, but nothing yetlah. Hrmmm, maybe soon?
Anyway, this son of ours is soooooo active these days! He has even started climbing up the stairs at my in-laws’ place. Eeeeeekkkkk! I know it’s quite dangerous, but for now, we don’t have the grill-door thingie to prevent him from climbing up, so I guess everyone just has to keep an eye on himlah, ey?
These past few days have been very hectic for us. We’ve been busy running around getting things done that whenever we come home, Irfan has already slept. On Monday, he slept from 6.30 p.m. right til the next morning (with 1 feed at about 3 a.m?) and yesterday he slept from 8.00 p.m. til 7.30 a.m. this morning. Luckily today I had to attend some briefing at the Royal Malaysian Customs branch at Kelana Jaya, so I managed to spend some quality time with him. Sigh. Time is not on our side right now and Irfan is growing up too fast!!!!! Double sigh. Oh well, I really really hope that when we’ve moved to our new place (most likely 3rd of February, insyaAllah), and things do get more settled, we can spend lots and lots of quality time with Irfan. I really don’t want to miss out on his developments and sometimes I envy my parents or in-laws who get to witness his first this and first that, but what to do? I need to run the business and I can’t stay home to look after him 24/7. =( Triple sigh. Sometimes I wish that I can be a stay-at-home-mom, but for now I think that that is not an option. Hrmmmm.. hopefully that transfer to Germany for Irwan will be approved soon. Hahahah! *crossing fingers*

Irfan in his car seat. =)

It’s absolutely amazing how a blood test can determine one’s health, doesn’t it? So, right now, I’m scared shitless waiting for mine, as I don’t really know what in the world is really wrong with me! Only thing I know for sure, which has been confirmed by the GP is that I have jaundice, but he doesn’t know for now if my liver has been affected badly or otherwise.
He says that he suspects that I may have a blockage somewhere in my liver, which in turn has skyrocketed my metabolism rate and this is why I have not been able to gain weight although I do stuff myself silly! Sigh. So yeah, am still waiting if the phone call will come in today.. and I’m really hoping that it won’t! Nyeh!
Anyway, I will be turning 28 tomorrow as it is my birthday lah, duh?! =P Nothing big is happening as the hubby is quite broke right now. Haha! But will be having ketams for dinner with my best friend and I hope that the place she recommended is a good one. Yum!! (Have been dreaming about ketam for ages.. although we’ve just had some a few weeks ago.. haha!)
So, you guys, have a great weekend ahead, otay? =)
Update:
Just got a call from the doctor. He said that my liver is fine. No thyroid, no Hepatitis A or B, but my blood count is on the border line, which is 12.9 as opposed to the average 13. He also said that that is okay because for women, anything above 12 is fine. So phew! Lega a bitlah. He went on to say that jaundice is caused either by problems with the liver or the red cells breaking down. So since my liver is fine, the problem might be with my red cells lah. Hrmmm, kerang rebus jom!!!! =)

Irfan and grandma. (notice the mozzie bite? ngggghhhhh.. sakit hati!)

Phew! No time to blog these days. So many things to do and so less time given. Haha! Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to make do with whatever time I have, ey? =)
We’re bringing Irfan to SJMC shortly for his first pneumococcal jab and I hope everything will be A-okay lah. So far he has not had any fever after any jabs, so I hope this time around, it’ll be the same thing. While we’re there, I am going to see a GP to check on my “losing weight” status. You see, after I left school, I was 52 kilos. 5 years later, I started to lose weight, and somehow it just stayed at 46 kilos or 47 kilos , thereaboutslah. When I got married, my weight stayed the same and when I was pregnant, I ballooned to a whopping 63 kilos! After delivery and confiment period, I was about 52 kilos and I wanted to just shed a few kilos as ideally, my weight should be around 48 kilos - 50 kilos. But noooooooooo, the last time I checked (which was last Friday), I was down to 44.9 kilos!!!! Eeeeeeekkkk! Major alert!!!!! This sounds scary (to me at least!)…
So yah, hopefully it’s just nothing. But even if I think it’s nothing, losing weight at this alarming rate isn’t putting my mind at ease. I’m hoping that the GP I’ll be seeing later will say the same thing too (that there’s nothing to be worried about). Keep your fingers crossed everyone!

Joint birthday dinner at Jake’s. =)

What we did last weekend….

January 16th, 2007

Yep, you guessed right! Another trip to IKEA. Lol!!! We went to IKEA last Friday to get another chest of drawer (since the earlier one was in a wrong colour - which means it’ll be in the guest room instead), coffee table, rug and some small stuff. We knew what we wanted, so we didn’t dilly-dally and went straight for ‘em items. Carrying the chest of drawer (weighing a whopping 48 kg!) out from the car to our master bedroom almost gave my back away. Haha. Thank god Irfan was asleep and we somehow managed to carry the oh-so-heavy kayu into our room. Phew!
The next day, we went back to Kuantan for Ah Ma’s 1 year anniversary dinner and it was raining all the time there. Thank god no floods and all. After the dinner, we went to some kopitiam in town as father in-law wanted to watch the game between MU and errrr… sapa ah? I can’t rememberlah! =P Irfan was already asleep, so we just brought him along and he was asleep most of the time we were at the kopitiam (the roti bakar is soooo yum!), but woke up just before we were about to leave. It took us a while to put him back to sleep as he didn’t quite like the hotel room (I think too small), but we managed to lah.
Next day, we went for some dim sum at MS Garden Hotel. Ooohhhh, yummylicious! Gave Irfan some porridge and milk and he fell asleep. Had a lot of babysitters (aunties, cousins, etc) there too, so I managed to gobble my food down in peace. I can’t remember how many times I called the trolley lady to tambah more stuff. Hahahaha! We left Kuantan after lunch and it rained all the way until KL. And again, thank god no floods whatsoever. (My heart goes out to all the flood victims in Johor. Does anyone know where I can send my contributions to?)
Anyway, yesterday was my sister in-law’s birthday. So, we had a joint birthday dinner with our in-laws as my birthday will be on this coming Saturday. Alamak, dah 28 years old! I feel soooo old.. =P So yeah, we had dinner at J*ke’s Cha*broiled S*eaks and the steak wasn’t all that bad lah. At least it wasn’t hard and dry like how certain places would cook, although I specifically ordered for medium-well. But the dessert was just oh-so-yummy!!! Can’t remember what it’s called, but apparently it’s their specialty. =) After dinner, my in-laws adjourned for some ice-cream, but we went home instead since Irfan was sleepy and fretful, yet he just refused to close his eyes! But oh, he enjoyed the grilled potatoes I fed him. Hehe. And he had so much milk last night! Tsk tsk tsk…
Okay, here are some videos yang dah a bit basi. I’ve not had time to upload and when I have the time, youtube is forever down for maintenance. So, this time, I managed to upload lah. Hehe. Enjoy!

Irfan having the time of his life on Ah Ma’s rocking chair.. haha!
Pose for the camera… ;)

Papa’s cap is toooo biglah, Mama!

Whad’ya think?

January 12th, 2007

So, what do you guys think of this layout? Is it ok? Haha! I’ve never used so many elements in my layouts before, and this is my first time doing so, so I’d like to get your opinions lah. And I suck at multiple photos layout, but I’m tired of using just one photo all the time, so trying out some new stuff lah. But I’m running out of ideas for my title. Lol! =) Anyone wants to recommend title ideas?
Have a good weekend you guys! We’ll be going to Kuantan for Irwan’s grandma’s 1 year passing. Shouldn’t pose a problem for Irfan, but if he does get cranky, there are plenty of rest areas that we can stop by, unlike the journey to Kota Bharu the other day. Anyway, here are the pictures of our kitchen. Still bare as well. Haha!

The handles were bought from IKEA because they are cheaper. Haha!

Don’t know why the doink can’t align the grilles according to the window’s line. So many lines, so pening!

This world is full of weirdos!

January 11th, 2007

Irfan looks soooo big in this series of photos, don’t you think? Some people are surprised that he’s only 9 months, as they think he’s prolly at least 1 year old. Well, he will be, in 3 months’ time, and I wish our kids won’t grow up too fastlah! I mean c’mon, let me still be able to cuddle and coo him and not having to “bersilat” with him each time I want to change his diapers! See lah, this is the thing with me, when he was 1-2 months old, I couldn’t wait for him to be up so that I can play with him. When he starts to be up all the time, I want him to sleep pulak. And then, when he started to find his voice, I couldn’t wait for him to say something, now, he screams and shouts at everything because he is always geram at everything that he holds or sees. Hrmmm.. ini macam, susahlah wey! Ponkius, ponkius.. teeheehee…!
Okay, as for the title, I mean, seriously, don’t you all just find that there are too many weirdos out there? Today, I received a message from friendster, saying that this one lady (whether or not lady, I don’t know, because no picture and all, but her name is a lady’s name lah) claims to know me. So, I replied her and said that I don’t recall anyone by that name and asked where we’ve met. Her next reply was to say that Irfan is so cute BUT she thinks that my previous anak (huh?) is even cuter and said that things like this cannot be covered up, as eventually, everyone else would know. To add salt to injury, she even asked if my hubby knows about my past.
Okay, here’s what I don’t get. I’ve NEVER been married, NEVER had a kid, and my hubby now is the guy whom I’ve dated for yonks before we decided that what the heck? Let’s get married and have kids and live happily ever after (now I sound like a writer for the fairy tales.. haha!). So, what makes she thinks that I’m covering up my past and who the hell does she think she is to insinuate that I’ve had a kid before this? Seriously, I think she’s a whack job! Oh, she said if I want to know how she found out about my lil’ “secret”, I should email her. And email-ed her I did! Told her to check her facts and not just hantam some stories just for the fun of it. Sheeeessshh! Now, I’ve blocked my friendster’s profile. Sigh. Can’t people just mind their own business? Have they got nothing better to do? I’m picturing Irfan’s smiley face now so that I won’t get affected by all this nonsense! Lalalalalalala… =)
Hrmmm, youtube is busy pushing out some new concoctions and formulas. I guess I will post video(s) of Irfan when the website’s reactions are stable. Hahaha! And oh, will be going to Putrajaya later, so I will try to get some shots of the kitchen pulak. Cheers you all!

Too busy to blog…

January 8th, 2007

Okay, I have been really busy sorting out the house, and over the past few days have been accepted to be on 3 designers’ creative team, which means I have to scrap more and blog less. Oh well, we’ll see what can be done so that Irfan’s updates won’t be neglected. Haha!
So yes, last weekend saw us (Irwan & I) patah-ing our pinggang cleaning the house up and fixing a lot of ‘em furnitures so that we can move in soon lah. (I think we’ll most likely move in by month end so that we get to spend more time with my in-laws before they head back to Perth early February.)
What’s completed you ask? Well, first and foremost, we got rid of the goon (Irwan got really pissed with the brother - I think they all are just plain dumb - and I had to grit my teeth from saying anything to not make things more complicated than it already is, so that we can all move on!) and we got ‘em bathroom accessories fixed, sofas done too, washer, dryer, fridge and microwave have been delivered as well and I have managed to transfer half our share of clothes into our wardrobe. We’ve also managed to transport more boxes (there’s a story behind the transporting of the boxes, but that’s a story for another day lah, ok?) but I have not been able to empty them all since I still need to mop Irfan’s room a couple more times.
Unfortunately, the chest of drawer that the IKEA guy delivered us was wrong, colour-wise lah. And it has passed the 30 days from our date of purchase, so now, I just need to get another chest of drawer since the wrong one will be in the guest room. Hehe. And oh, we also need to get a shoe cabinet and a few more rugs. Sigh, more trips to IKEA.
Anyway, since this is Irfan’s blog, I need to talk a bit about himlah, kan? Haha! So yes, this lil’ boss of ours hasn’t been up for his midnight feeds (hooray!) and I’m crossing my fingers that he’ll completely forget about having milk in the middle of the night. Teeheehee.. He’s also engrossed with his Chicco cars that I’ve just bought for him yesterday and also the walker thingie Godma Yannie bought for him as a Christmas present. Thanks Yannie!! =)
Hrmm, what else happened? Oh yes! He tergolek-ed while in his walker the other day and there was a blue black mark on his face. His screams managed to wake every being around in Putrajaya. Yes, it was THAT loud!!!!! It’s usually more shock than pain, so, after the untoward accident, he fell asleep and slept from 6 p.m. right up to 10 p.m!! Aiyooo.. damn heartsick already lah. Thing is, he can never sit still for one second, and always wants to venture to places (the other day while loading the boxes, my father in-law found him under the coffee table playing with the Astro remote) and we can never always follow him around. Sigh. How ah? Maybe I should wear him a helmet or something? Yes?

Gutten morgen! =)

Aaaaahhhhhhh! (screaming his lungs out!)

Our bare looking living room. (the rug will be swapped as I think we need a livelier one.. hehe)
