A new toy and a lil’ getaway! ;)
December 28th, 2007
I have finally gotten my DSLR. Wee-hooo! Slept at 2 this morning as I was playing with my new toy, and even Irwan couldn’t stop himself from joining the fun. Heh! ;)
We’ll be going to Penang for a lil’ getaway this evening with Aaron and his family (flying in from Bangkok) and Danny and wifey - so here’s to wishing everyone a very Happy New Year! :) We’ll be going for this trip tomorrow morning and I very well hope that it doesn’t rain!!!
See you guys in 2008! Happy holidays!
Checking out the cat.
Running away from the cat.
Terribly afraid of the cat! Haha!
Addendum:
The new toy. *grins*
Saturday @ Seri Maya
December 24th, 2007
We spent our entire day at Seri Maya last Saturday as the IKEA people needed to install the kitchen cabinet and we had no other option but to bring Irfan as well lah. The night before I made sure I packed his books, toys, pillow, blankets, floaties, trunks and all his other harta benda to ensure that he doesn’t get bored while we were there.
Was there at about 11 a.m. and went for lunch around 11.45 a.m. like that and since Irfan didn’t have his morning nap, he slept while we purposely drove around the neighbourhood after we’ve had our lunch. Came back to Seri Maya only to find that our parking spot was taken by some Suzuki Swift, and that wasn’t the first time the car was parked there. Irwan was about to leave the fler a note when we saw a guy walking out of the lift towards the said car. The husband then asked the guilty party nicely if the black car is his and was brushed aside with a mere “Sekejap aje!” What gives? Sekejap or not, that IS our parking spot and if he’s just soooooo pemalas to park at his spot (ours is very, very near to the lift - that’s why we’ve had so many cars parked at our spot on numerous occassions), then that’s not our problemlah. He didn’t even bother to apologize for the inconvenience and when Irwan said that this wasn’t his first and to please make sure he doesn’t repeat it again, the doink just went “hrmmpphhh” and mumbled an apology. Eeeeeeeeee… I hate people who’ve got no manners!
Anyway, after all that drama, Irfan was still asleep and I tried to make it as cozy as possible for him in one of the rooms and he slept on for the next 3 hours or so in between the drilling, knocking and what nots. Like a true champion! :P
When he got up, we brought him down to the pool and he enjoyed himself and was jumping in and out of the big pool (with his floaties and Irwan to supervise of course!) sampai menggigil the whole badan. His little body was literally shaking after a while and that’s when I decided that he’s had enough. He didn’t agree with me though - but until he’s able to think for himself - he’s to follow what I say! Hahahaha!
We left Seri Maya at about 6 p.m. or so and proceeded to 1Utama for dinner. Irfan was soooo hungry that he managed to finish 1/2 a bowl of soup, 1 piece of garlic bread, 1 piece of drumstick and 2 pieces of pizza. Just like the ular yang dah kekenyangan, he slept on the way home with a bottle of milk in his hand. And that was how we spent our Saturday. :)
Merry Christmas everyone!
Having a stroll at the breezeway.
Fun in the pool! ;)
Kena splash!
1-2-3 JUMP!!!!!!!!!
Chee-ka is tiga. He skips 1 and 2 and it’s straight to number 3. In Malay or English, it’s the same. Haha!
More words! Eeeeekkk!!!
December 19th, 2007
It was a busy weekend and it has been a busy week for me. The lil’ dude has churned out a lot of words and I can’t seem to be keeping track of them! Oh my! And will his incessant questions start soon already? Oh noooooo!!!!
So, his words are; dog, woof, cat, meow, moo, air (water), three (more like teeeee - he knows that after 2 comes 3), shoes, -anma (grandma), -anpa (grandpa), yak and errrr… I can’t remember what else lah! Hish.. I think after this, I won’t be able to keep track dah. Hehe.
Aaaannnyyyyway, I’ve already decided on the DSLR. It won’t be a Canon 400D or a Nikon D40. It’ll be a Pentax K100D Super. I just hope I’ll get it in time before we leave for our holiday with our friends at the end of the month. *crossing fingers*
Selamat Hari Raya Haji to all our Muslim friends! And happy holidays to all our other friends! :) We’ll be having BBQ at my parents’ tomorrow - so yay!!!! Good food.. yummyyyyyy!
Hrmmm.. which one shall I choose?
Trying to see if I can do a feet shot.
Heeellppppp! My finger’s stuck!
Watching the older kids play. :)
He has found it!
December 14th, 2007
He has really found his tongue! Membebel je tak sudah-sudah! I’m going bonkerz, ok? And he’s picking up a lot of words everyday. It has been keropok (po-pok), shoes, food, -ane (plane/pain) and many more. I can’t seem to remember them already. And when we spell out to him m-a-m-a and p-a-p-a, he’ll end them with mama and papa respectively. Of course, we still need to say ma and pa after each m-a and p-a. Get what I mean? ;) Heh!
And and he’s already got this inquisitive tone all the time! It’s like maaaa? And he points to something. If I’m busy doing other things, he’ll keep pestering me with more maaaa? maaaa??? maaaaa???!!! MA-MA?!!!! Hahahahaha. That’s how it is most times. And he’s so cheeky. I’m really going mad - coz he can’t keep quiet for much these days! Eeekkkk…!
He loves book too - no doubt about that. But he hates it when we read to him. If we read to him, he’ll chuck the book aside and run off someplace else. Sigh. So, whenever he wants a book, we just leave the book with him for him to explore. Same goes with his toys. We can’t show him how they work. He needs to be a ‘professor’ or ‘mechanic’ and know how ‘em toys work on his own! Whatever makes your day, my boy! :P
He’s more independent now. We can leave him to play on his own already. At least with this, we get to do our own things. Haha. BUT, he still likes to pester me and sit on my lap whenever I’m folding the clothes. Bila orang tak sibuk tak nak kacau, bila ada kerja jeeeee, must come to me! Hrmmppphhhhh! Still can’t get him to watch the telly though. Oh well, at least he watches Barney’s I Love You video and dances to it. But that’s about itlah. Heh!
Playing with the sliding door at Seri Maya.
Can we go to the pool, please?
Let’s see what’s inside this room, ok? ;)

Our 4th Anniversary… :)
December 11th, 2007
Today - 11.12.2007 - marks our 4th year of being married. I remember what a nervous-wreck I was 4 years ago. I was nervous for him - not for myself. And the moment he recited the lafaz nikah in one breath with everyone nodding their head in agreement and saying sah, I was smiling from ear to ear. Hahahahaha!
B, thanks for being a wonderful husband to me and a great father to our son. Thanks for being understanding and supportive of my every actions. Thanks for being there - my shoulder to cry on. And thanks for being the BEST! Love you pots! ;)
Can’t wait for ketam tonight! Wheeeee…!!!
Irwan & Nadia.
Irfan - offering us more than just biscuits - he’s our pride and joy. :)
Time and tide waits for no man - how true!
December 7th, 2007
So little time and too many projects to take on. Aarrrgghhh! Don’t like this, I really don’t. Bah! But, I don’t have a choice, so take on ‘em projects is what I must.
Firstly, I (and Irfan) need to go to IKEA tomorrow morning to finalize the kitchen cabinet. Then, while at IKEA, I (and Irfan) might as well browse around for some items to decorate the house. Heh. Lemme see if I can find anything nice and cheap. Why can’t they have etsy in Malaysia? Aiyah. Would have saved me a helluva lot of trouble. Haha!
So, after IKEA, I have an appointment with the curtain lady at Seri Maya. While we’re there, the electrical goods’ people will send over the hobs, hood, aircond and water heater. And I also need to measure the 3 bedrooms so that we can roughly know which wardrobe to choose from IKEA (another trip!). Oh, need to measure the space above the sink in the bathrooms as well since we need to put mirrors there (another IKEA trip too!).
Then, we (read: Irfan & I) need to get some groceries since I plan to stay home with him on Sunday and cook us healthy food. On my plan list, I want to get some artsy-fartsy things done to our walls at home. I also want to convert the room downstairs to a funky place to chill or play or work or whatever. Ali Edwards and Tara Whitney (thanks Dinah!) have both inspired me. :)) And then, there’s the DSLR that I’ve been meaning to buy. Think what? Money grows on tree, ah? Pfffftttt!
Why did I graduate in Finance (Accounting was just too dry!) and am in the automotive industry again? Instead of doing creative designs or photography or something? Somebody please remind me? Oh yeah, that’s right - I’ve always loved numbers and my dad won’t have me work anywhere else but his office. :P But I suck at keeping close to our budgets! That’s Irwan’s work - he’s the Finance Minister. Haha! And he’s a techie! We’re a weird family.. oh well..! I love our lil’ family. ;)
Have a great weekend, everyone!

The lil’ one gave us a heart attack!
December 5th, 2007
Irfan was naughty on Friday night. He was screaming sesuka hati and was driving us (read: Irwan & I) nuts! No amount of spanking on his bum-bum would keep him quiet. As a last resort, I scooted him off to his room and placed him in his cot, and switched the lights off. Of course, his screaming got louder, but he needs to know that screaming is a no-no.
I went back into our room and counted from 1 to 90 (more like watching the clock’s hand! :P) and when it was almost 90, I decided to go to his room to have a peek (yes, he was still screaming and crying and all that), but oh boy, was I in for a surprise when I saw him running towards our room! I was like alamak! Sudah boleh panjat keluar sendiri ka??? *slaps forehead*
Checked his cot and all that but the bar was still up and his mattress was already placed at the lowest point. All I could see was some stacked pillows and bolsters. So, ok, he panjat on those bantals to climb the bar, but how did he land? Like spiderman? Cicakman? Superman? What? I placed him in the cot again after pacifying him and all that so that he can show us his stunts, but he refused to co-operate. Hrmmppphhhh! Spoil sport! Bak kata Anne, like Houdini like that :P
Anyway, on Saturday, Irfan and I went to our Seri Maya unit because the contractor needed to measure our kitchen and I needed to see how many lights and fans and what-have-yous we need for the unit as we already have a Korean family moving in by 1st January (yay!). After completing everything, we went up to the 21st floor (it’s called The Breezeway - and it was very breezy) to check out what they have there. Irfan had fun at the play area and I managed to snap some photos. What else to do? Takkan nak main sekali? :P
See-saw, Margery Daw.

Happy 20 months!
December 3rd, 2007
He’s 20 months today. And I know I sound like a broken record because I keep saying this over and over again, but I just can’t help it lah. Time sure flies!!!!!!!!! I miss my baby. :(
Here are his updates:
Height: 82 cm.
Weight: 12.3 kg.
Milk intake: 6-7 oz. of Enfagrow, 4-5 feeds per day.
Food: He eats just about anything that’s edible and halal, minus cold drinks. ;)
Words he can say: Papa, Mama, cicak, jijik, eewwww, car, chak, key, chip-chip, -ish (fish), nye-nyek (nenek), sh*t (yes, you read right!), shee-shee, there, eat, susu, bubur, shoes, and a few others that I can’t remember for now ya-yak (poo), who and fruits. Heh.
Level of understanding: Very good. He recognizes people, animals and objects. I can tell him to go to his room, take his shoes or clothes or whatever, go downstairs and take the keys and bring them up to me and he’ll hesitate for a while, as though trying to put my instructions in point forms, but he’ll follow exactly what I tell him to do. Basically, he understands a lot of things, but is just taking his own sweet time in talking. Oh well. Not complaining. Already as it is if I don’t reply/acknowledge him when he calls me, he’ll go “mamamamama” or “ma?” ma?” “ma?” and tug my baju or pants or hair or whatever, can you imagine if he can already talk? Sei lor!
