Last minute plan to Aloq Setaq!
August 29th, 2008
It’s suppose to be a rather chill & laid-back long weekend for us, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, the hoosband has been called to conduct the BMW Driver’s Training in Alor Setar tomorrow. Off we go tonight. And I haven’t even packed! Eeeeeeppppp!
Here’s to wishing everyone a great long weekend. :) For those who are travelling - do drive safe, yeah? And Happy 51st Merdeka to everyone, too! (I was counting on watching the fireworks tomorrow night, but oh well, hopefully there’s some sort of celebration in Kedah. Hrmmmm…) And Selamat Berpuasa to all Muslims!!!! Can’t wait to check out the Pasar Ramadhan. Yummmmm…

Irfan’s Fun Day!
August 25th, 2008
Since it has been raining garfields and odies the past few days, I thought that I should bring Irfan to the park/playground in the morning since the clouds look a tad clear and the birds were chirping outside the house and didn’t hear no frogs croaking. Heh. Irwan had something on at a hotel that has more horses than the Kiara stables, so it was just Irfan and I (and my Pentax!) to the PICC park.
When we arrived, there were a lot of cleaners cleaning the surrounding as they had the fireworks competition (anyone went? Jazz?) the night before. And although the ground was a bit lecak, that didn’t stop the lil’ champ from jumping, running, falling, et cetera.
At the “playhouse” thingiemajigie, I didn’t let him go down the shorter slide as it was very dirty and so he had no choice but to climb up the spiral stairs thingie to get him to the top, then grab the other side and jump over so that he’d be able to go down the sorta cleaner slide. I showed him how to maneuver at his first go and he must’ve gone at least 10 times after that. I was praying silently that he wouldn’t slip and fall or something. I think I was more afraid than he was. Tsk. *shakes head*
After countless Air Asia planes that went above our heads, we continued the day by going to Tesco Cheras (so much cleaner and more spacious and less Indons [actually didn't see none?] than the Tesco in Puchong). We had brunch, Big Apple donuts and 1 1/2 hours worth of grocery shopping and left before the garfields and odies started to appear from the sky again. Irfan was still hungry even after he had a piece of donut and 8 oz. of milk, so I stopped by Mackers and got us some nuggets. At his third nugget, he fell asleep while still holding on to the half-eaten piece. He didn’t get up until 4 1/2 hours later. Must’ve been really tired! Hahahahaha…
Aaaaanyways, his fun day is up and running. Cheers! ;)

Just the two of us… again!
August 18th, 2008
Soooo… the hoosband was in Kuching from Thursday ’til Sunday for the BMW Driver’s Training. It was just Irfan and I most days at home and we did pretty much everything together. From going to Pavilion three days in a row (yes you read me right!), to visiting Aaron and family (baby Jamie is oh-so-cute and oh-so-the-very-chubby!), to chilling at my parents’ and to even helping me cook seafood spaghetti for dinner last night. We had quite a bit of fun - minus the hair pulling moments which tend to be more than usual these days - and I took him to Lake Garden yesterday evening for some fun time. :)
Anyway, as I’ve mentioned earlier, I did have some hair pulling moments the past few days and they seem to be worse as days go by. I’ll list the things he’s done and I’m not sure how to handle them, really.
- Throw things/books/cars at others. No amount of spanking the lil’ hands or threatening him to the corner seems to work. But he was damn takut when I took my dad’s cane out. Maybe I should invest in one, ey?
- He dunked my dad’s SUV key into the fish pond last two weekends. I gave him hell because I had to fish the blardy key from the pond and reverse the said car out to enable my parents to use the car parked in front of the SUV for a wedding. And they were already late. Thank god the key could work.
- He threw out one of his cars from my room window at my parents’ and now the car’s stuck on the gutter.
- Yesterday, while on his way to the formal living to call my dad for breakfast, he threw not one but TWO of the Benz’s keys into the pool! (He needs to pass the pool before getting to the living area) And those are my parents’ new cars! Aarrghhh! I had to jump in with my clothes on to get ‘em keys because the blasted net wouldn’t grasp ‘em keys. And I just had my shower moments before. Again, thank god the keys could work. I was sooooooooo mad at him and I really, really didn’t know what to do and he was a bit shocked that I gave him the silent treatment. He just doesn’t get it that it’s not funny anymore. He throws his cars each and everytime he’s at my parents’. At least once a day. And the poor maid has to use the net all the time to fish for the cars. Like as though itu orang takde kerja lain ka? Ish!
- He swims on the floor and shouts as loud as he can whenever his demands are not met. I just let him be. But damn malu at ‘em neighbourslah. Aiyooo… On the bright side though, he hasn’t had the courage yet to pull such a stunt while we’re out. If he’s going to do that, I think I’m just going to go mad. Haha.
- He broke one of my mom’s spectacle lens just hours ago. Don’t know what to say dah.
Overall, he’s a good kid. We just think that he’s bored to tears not having anyone to play/bully/whatever with and so the final decision has been made. Come January 2009, he’s off to school. For real this time. Heh.

August 12th, 2008
I have been neglecting this blog for quite a bit now. But there isn’t much for me to write/say/tell these days. So, I’ll take a leave of absence for the time being and here’s to hoping that I’ll find some inspiration s-o-o-n. Haha!
Will leave you guys with some home ideas that I’ve been meaning to do. The lazy a** is just not co-operating! Heh.

Happy 28 months!
August 4th, 2008
Mr-Knows-It-All turned 28 months yesterday. I can’t keep track of alllllll his updates but here are some of the important ones that I do remember:
- Able to count from 1 to 20 in English - although it’s a bit lintang pukang comes #15.
- Able to recite A to M and starts to get all confused after M. He keeps repeating F too often. Hrmmm, I wonder why?
- Pees and poos in the toilet bowl whenever we’re home. I still put on his diaperslah, just in case. (Read: lazy mommy).
- Able to construct long winding sentences although he does stutter in between them. He yaps like there’s no tomorrow - even when we are lying on the bed trying to sleep.
- Still eats his porridge twice a day.
- Still drinks his milk - 5 times per day @ about 8 oz. each time.
- Keeps asking for an adik since the arrival of his cousin. Eeeeekkkk?!!
- Cranks up my car and my parents’ cars in the mornings. It’s a must!
- Getting quite good at swimming but there are days when he’s just plain lazy and bergayut at the edge of the pool. Ish. (We’ve been busy the past two Saturdays. So, I haven’t been able to bring him to the Club and get him used to the instructor. Sigh.)
- Weight-wise: very the berat already for me to carry him. He’s 15.2kg as at last Friday.
