The lil’ dude and his family…

I can’t believe that this budak kenit will turn three in 3 days’ time! Where has the time gone? Next thing I know he’ll be 5 years old and it’ll be time for us to try for #2 pulak. Heh.

He and I have been busy running around town getting things done and buying things for his big affair this coming weekend. I, on the other hand, am about to collapse come Saturday evening because I only have 2 hands and I want to do everything myself. I’m OCD like that. I want things done my way, so I can’t blame anyone else but myself, can I? Pft. But no, I won’t be doing the baking because that’s not my forte, but the rest, will be done by me. Let’s just hope everything turns out A-ok, shall we? Haha.

After the big dinner on Saturday night, Irfan wanted me to accompany him to a playground nearby so that he can kick some sand (again!) and go on the swing. While I was sitting on the bench, he told me that he wants to go for a walk (which is normal) and that he’d be back. I told him not to wander too far and after 15 steps, he u-turned and ran towards me. Halfway through, he lost his balance, slipped and fell and knocked his forehead on the ground. Ouch. I’m so used to seeing him running and falling and with bruises everywhere on his legs and hands that I just don’t get those panic attacks anymore. He’s a boy. And I’ve been told that that’s what boys do. Heck, I was like him too when I was a kid. So mak borek, anak rintik ah. Haha. Anyhow, back to his bruised red forehead, it wasn’t all that badlah, but he was pretty shocked and cried for his papa. So, off we went to look for Irwan.

Irfan didn’t want to stay long at the beachside, so we toured around the hotel and found the kids’ playroom. It’s so nice and cooling and cozy in there that we spent almost an hour playing lego with him. Of course, I took pictures toolah and got Irwan to snap pictures of me and Irfan too, but that budak kenit just couldn’t sit still, so all of our pictures are blurry. Bleh.

Next morning, I woke the two boys up and Irfan wanted to go to the pool again and when it got too hot, he refused to come out. So, I went up to have my shower and to pack and the two boys chilled by the beach under the pokok kelapa and what have yous. How blissful. :P

We left Kuantan around 12pm and surprisingly, there was no traffic jam whatsoever considering that it’s the last day of school holidays and we got home just slightly before 4pm. And he still wanted to jump in the pool! Ish!

We went to Kuantan for Khazanah Nasional Berhad’s Family Day and we stayed at Swiss Garden Resort & Spa from the 20th of March til the 22nd of March. The lil’ dude had the most fun. And I had fun with my “Lima Dee” (thanks for the name, Tecky!) too. Heh. It was a relaxing trip and Irwan treated me with a spa session. Thanks dude! ;)

Irfan was really enjoying the sand and was kicking me and everything else around him with it and even swallowed some bits of sand that was stuck on his face, hair, hand, baju, shoes, etc etc. Boys. Hrmph! Too bad that it was low tide and scorching hot, else he’d be having fun in the sea too. :P

Irwan was mingling around entertaining his team and it was good that he mingled longer than he should have that Saturday night as he won himself an ipod touch. Oklah, not as gempak as an iphone, but bolehlaaaa… Haha! Irfan and I meanwhile were lepaking in our hotel room and just after midnight, we could hear people screaming and all. Soccer matchlah pulak. So, who won, eh? :P

Before you all start to congratulate me and all that.. nolah.. I’m not pregnant. Haha. Here’s the newest addition: 

Yerp. I got me a (used) Canon 5D Mark I. Cannot afford the Mark II, so Mark I pun jadilah. :P And yes, my first Canon lens is the Canon EF 50mm f1.4 I got from Aaron. Maaaann.. Canons are expensip! But, I’m happy with my purchase. :)

Pentax gears have all been sold off. Sigh. If it wasn’t for the fact that it’s so blardy effing hard to get Pentax things around here (Sh*iro sucks!), I’d still stick with Pentax. Oh well… not my rezeki, I guess? Anyway, I love the 5D and I am absolutely loving the lens. Managed to take some pictures over the weekend and I was totally blown away…!

Less than a month to go and this budak really amazes me. He’s learnt so much in school that he’s independent these days. He picks what he wants to wear. He tells you what he wants to eat, how he wants his food done, etc etc. He speaks like a real adult and strings his sentences very well, so yeah, I’m glad that school is doing well for him. :)

His latest craze is to play with the paper and glue. I guess he has been learning how to use them in school and the amount of artwork he brings home.. holy schmoly..! Tons of them! Coloured ones, painted ones, mosaic ones - you name it, he has it. Haha. I now have a special place where I store his artwork and when we make that trip to Ikea (yet again!), I’ll probably get us some nice frames to hang his artwork on the wall. I’ve got some ideas running in the head, but we’ll see. Got inspired by some of these walls below. :)

Many many thanks to Mrika for believing in me and hiring me for her daughter’s first bird-day party! :) She did such an amazing job with the decorations, party packs and food, that everyone who left the party, left with a big smile on their faces. Congrats Mrika!

So, it was Zayaan Atiya’s party that day, but when I arrived at the house, birthday girl was still asleep. I took upon that chance to snap photos of the decor and also with the boys, Zayaan’s brother - Zarif and cousin - Bil. They both swear by The Transformers so I was having fun listening to Zarif explaining about Autobots and Decepticons. Heh. Kids. Boys. Normallah tu. Soon it’ll be Irfan’s turn. :P
